Under Car Neon Lights: Still a Classic
For years, neon lighting has been a popular night light in clubs, signs, billboards, bars, and in trucks and cars. Neon light tubes are set on the underside of the car producing a spectacular glow, giving your car an added feature for others to look at. While there are more advanced types of lighting systems used in cars today such as LED lights, neon lighting still has fans.
There's been much discussion about neon underglow by car buffs; some bad and some good. When they are compared to LED lights, neon lights are a good deal brighter, making it excellent for those that want to add an eye-catching or lustrous aura around their car. The way that the neon lights glow under and around a car makes it perfect to work around each angle, providing you with a floating sensation while showing off other great features of your customized car. The lights are put in a special type of plastic that protects the neon tubes. This plastic gives extra durability.
LED lights are not quite as bright. Because of that, you'd need a lot of LED tubes to equal the brightness of neon lighting. If you are after a fluid and solid underglow system, neon lighting is still the better choice. You can even install neon lights in smaller places on the inside of your car such as on the door, on the dash and under the car seat. In a classic sense, neon lights are unrivaled.
Neon lights normally cost less compared to LED lights. Neon lights are a quick fix when you would like a light system right away, largely because they are easy to install. You can plug them into the cigarette lighter in your car. Neon lighting can even be set to pulse to your stereo system. On a more practical level, neon lights have been the standard for years.
LED light aficionados, however view neon undercar lights as old school in custom car lighting. The lack of glow in LED lights is compensated through its dependability since LED bulbs last longer than neon tubes. You can synchronize LED lights to produce a variety of colors or patterns, unlike neon lighting, which can only display a fairly limited color set. LED lights can be controlled wirelessly by infrared. LED under car kits generally start up more quickly than neon lights, particularly when it is cold. More importantly, the barely sealed LED tubes won't consume as much energy compared to neon tubes.
As much as car enthusiasts like to imply that neon is out, your undercar lighting depends on what you want in your customized car. It is a known fact that neon will give cars more of an edge, more appeal, and more of a glow. A great deal of the retro and old-school discussion is what makes neon lights a classic night light in both custom cars and street racing. The glowing elements of neon lights guarantees that your car gives the attention it deserves.
