As a normal human being, we do worry about issues at times such as
financial issues, relationship issues, work and school issues but we worry on a
mild basis and do not spend a large amount of our time doing so. Unfortunately,
this is not the case for some others who are constantly worrying about
absolutely everything leading to what we know as
generalized anxiety disorder or
GAD for short.
In a situation where the signs of
danger is absolutely absent and any signs of impending danger is non-existent at
all. Even in this type of scenarios, a
generalized anxiety disorder or GAD
sufferer will almost certainly worry about the possible coming of a disaster.
This is the level of hypertension and exaggerated level of fear and worry that a
sufferer is subjecting to. These exaggerated level of worrying may be hard to
overcome as it is rather difficult for one to clearly identify the root causes
of these attacks.
Physical warning signs must be present as well
in order to determine the validity of ones claim to have suffered from general
anxiety disorder within a 6 months observation window. Feelings of irritation,
excessive tiredness, loss in focus or concentration, blank mind projections,
hypertensions are all physical signs.
A chronic sufferer of generalized anxiety disorder can worry about not having
a panic attack, social phobia, obsessive compulsive disorder, separation anxiety
and even gaining large amounts of weight. This includes somation disorder where
you have multiple physical complaints, a serious or life threatening illness. But in order for one to properly determine the actual occurrence of
general anxiety disorder, the symptoms has to last for at least a few days
within a time frame of 6 months. Upon these observation, only then can one be
sure of actually being suffering from general anxiety disorder and only then
proper medication can be prescribed by the doctor to treat this mental disorder.
Symptoms of general anxiety disorder are basically excessive amounts
of fear and worrying, with the feelings lasting anywhere between days to a few
months at length and the worrying can occur for almost any functions that one is
anticipating or participating in. Controlling these fear and worry is
unfortunately difficult for the sufferer of GAD to control.
There are
many signs and symptoms that can point one in the direction of knowing that one
is indeed suffering from
generalized anxiety disorder. Therefore, when one
suspect that one is suffering from it, take note of the symptoms and recognize
the fact that you are suffering from it and seek medication so that you may be
cured of it as soon as possible.
